Rotary recently ran its 2nd Annual Art Expo Sale in Breaffy House Hotel on the 27th November. 30 amateur and professional artists participated in the event. TG4 contracted artist Harry Feeney gave a water colour demonstration. The event was co-ordinated by Dolores Burke.
The event was very well supported and a lot of paintings were sold. One artist, Therese O Grady sold six paintings on the night. Therese is new to the world of painting, having taken up painting following last years Rotary Art Expo! Therese is due her third child in four weeks time.
A profit of €5000 was made on the night, €880 alone was taken in the raffle for Harry Feeneys painting. Mayo Autuism will recieve €2,500. Following Decembers Consul meeting the balance will be divided between Social Services, St V deP and Mayo Refugee Centre.
