All-Ireland Rotary Annual
Youth Leadership Development Competition 2016
The Castlebar Rotary club will be participating in this Annual competition; the club will nominate one youth to go forward to the Area Regional Finals in November (14th November 2016 in Sligo). This âLeadership Development Programmeâ competition is designed to help youth prepare for their future career. Castlebar Students in conjunction with our club have an excellent record at winning a place on the LDP trip. All expenses are covered by Rotary.
Twenty four students from across the island of Ireland are selected at the Area Finals to participate in a week long Leadership Development Programme (LDP). The LDP Week consists of three days in Belfast/Stormont and Dublin/The Dail, before setting of for the European Parliament in Strasbourg to play a part in the Euroscola Programme early next year. The winners debate major EU issues in the European Parliament Building with 600 other students from most countries across the European Union.
There will be four schools participating in the interviews.
