Castlebar Rotary’s Careers Connect Programme continued on Friday 30th January, with Alan Dillon TD delivering a highly engaging and motivating talk to students at St Gerald’s College.

With over 90 students in attendance, the session was very well received. Alan connected strongly with the students, sharing honest and practical insights on believing in yourself, aiming high, working hard, staying grounded, the value of sport and facing challenges along the way.

He also shared valuable life lessons, including three key things he wished he had known at their age, which resonated strongly with both students and teachers present.

It was a thought-provoking talk that surely sparked great discussion among the students.

A big thank you once again to Shane Bourke, our Rotary Careers Connect Organiser, for coordinating another excellent and impactful event.

Mayo-based secondary schools interested in participating in the Rotary Careers Connect Programme are invited to register their interest by sending us a direct message on Facebook or by contacting any member of our Club.  official Facebook page.
