Castlebar Rotary Club extends its warm congratulations to Áine Joyce from Balla Secondary School, who represented our club with great distinction in the Regional Youth Leadership Development Competition held in Sligo on Wednesday.
Áine performed very well at the interview, demonstrating confidence and maturity — values that lie at the heart of Rotary. Although she was not selected as the overall regional winner, her participation and strong showing were complimented.
The regional title this year went to the student representing Galway Rotary, who will now progress to the Rotary Youth Leadership trip to Strasbourg – Congratulations from Rotary Castlebar.
We thank Willie Geraghty, Finian Joyce and the judges for their time and guidance, and to all the schools and teachers involved for encouraging their students to take part. And of course a big thank you to Áine for participating.
