Rotary Castlebar’s annual Stroke Awareness Campaign once again delivered a vital community service — offering free blood pressure monitoring to the public on May 10th, 2025, at SuperValu, Castlebar.

Led by Walter Donoghue and supported by a team of local medics, nurses and paramedics, the event saw a strong turnout. These healthcare professionals generously volunteered their time to provide on-the-spot blood pressure checks for anyone interested in understanding more about their heart health.

Although the service is entirely free, members of the public were welcome to make optional donations. All proceeds are ring-fenced for heart health initiatives in the Castlebar area, specifically supporting projects that promote blood pressure awareness and heart health.

A big thank you to President John Mulroy, Walter Donoghue, James Murray, and all our incredible Rotary volunteers who made the day such a success.
