Rotary Castlebar presented cheques to local Charities.
The club had an enjoyable evening meeting all the excellent people working in local charities.
Awards were made to Western Care, Candle of Grace, Mayo Autism Camp, Castlebar Scouts and Order of Malta in Garbo’s.
The Order of Malta received €600, 1st Mayo Scouts €1,800, Mayo Autism Camp €5,500, Candle of Grace (Ukrainian Children in Mayo) €4,000 and Rotary Foundation €1500. Charity events included our Annual Christmas Tree of Remembrance, Annual Table Quiz, Downton Abbey Movie Premiere, Pedal pushers cycle and Annual Golf Am Am.
Rotary also developed a new garden for the front of the new Castlebar Social Services Centre.
