2015 Regional Assemblies
General Invitation

Dear Rotarians and Rotaract members,

We are writing to extend an invitation to you to participate in the Regional Assemblies taking place during March 2015. With the change in the Assembly format in 2015, in addition to the 2015/16 District Officers that are called to attend the events, we are also able to open up participation to a wider audience and we hope that you will consider registering.

As you may know, the establishment of Regional Assemblies in 2015 marks a significant change in our delivery. Largely as a result of feedback received from previous events all of the Regional Assemblies are based on facilitated discussion in groups. The Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland (RIBI) Committees will deliver all the material that they want to share by webinar beforehand and you will be able to view the recorded webinar for the area that interests you most in advance of your attendance as they take place and are posted on the website during February. It would be beneficial if you could also view the material being delivered by other committees. The more we all understand about each other’s activities, aims and aspirations the more we will all be able to capitalise upon it. We may even achieve “Joined Up Rotary”. For a more detailed explanation of the Regional Assemblies click here.

A key point is that at the Regional Assemblies we will not be discussing “The Problem” but rather focussing upon success stories, people like you who have found solutions, implemented a plan successfully or made a real difference. There will be no presentations so delegates will be fully engaged in discussions. That way we can all learn in a positive environment, share ideas and build plans to help us all take Rotary forward. All that we ask is that you come with an open mind, ready to participate fully so that you and all the other delegates find the time devoted truly worthwhile.

All of the Regional Assemblies will be in the same format and have the same facilitated discussion sessions. Each one will start at 09.30am with coffee and registration and a plenary at 10.00am. There will then be sessions throughout the day and the event will finish at approximately 4.00pm. A light lunch will be provided. The registration fee is 30.00 per person and includes the lunch and refreshments. As a Rotarian or Rotaractor attending at your own expense, you will not be eligible to claim any travel or accommodation expenses from the Association.

You should not use this registration link if you are a 2015/16 District Chairman for one of the following roles: Community, International, Vocational, Youth Service, Rotaract, Youth Exchange, Foundation, Membership Development & Retention, Extension (New Club Formation), Marketing PR & Communications, Secretary or Treasurer.  You have a different registration site as you are ‘called’ to attend and your DGE would have sent you the details to register.

Yours in Rotary,
