The Rio Carnival Presidents night was an unqualified success and a credit to all involved.  This was the largest Presidents night in a good number of years.  The event was supporting the Alzheimers House in Knockthomas.

The decor in the reception room was stunning, the Breaffy function room was unrecognisable.  Credit for this goes to Yvonne Kilcullen and her able team.  David OConnor and the Breaffy House Hotel team were brillant and the food was fantastic.

The entertainment was super, on arrival guests were greeted with Samba African drums, during the meal a Brazilian quiz, post-dinner entertainment by Pollyanna Salsa Dance troupe from Westport, Buck Taylor band from Ballina and our very own Henry McGlade.    Games included Musical Islands and Limbo which members took active part in.

There was also over 80 spot prizes, some nice prizes and some bogey prizes!

The funds for the Alzheimers house has to be finalised and the final figure will be announced shortly.
